Easy Penuche Frosting

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter and stir in the brown sugar.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

  3. Stir in the milk and bring back to a boil, then remove the pan from heat.

  4. Allow the mixture to cool to lukewarm.

  5. Gradually beat in sifted confectioners' sugar until thick enough to spread, adding hot water if needed for consistency.
