Easy Mushroom Sauce With Red Wine

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil, then sauté mushrooms for 3-5 minutes.

  2. Add red wine and simmer briefly.

  3. Pour in beef broth and simmer for 5 minutes to reduce.

  4. Whisk flour and cold water until smooth, then stir into the mushroom mixture.

  5. Season with salt and pepper, simmer for 1 minute until thickened, adding more broth if too thick.
