Easy Honey White Bread
A soft white bread with a light honey flavor, this recipe yields two loaves, one of which can be frozen for later use.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F during the second rise.

In a large bowl, combine warm water (95-110 F) and yeast.

Add milk, honey, salt, and butter; stir until roughly incorporated.

Mix in 4 cups of flour, then gradually add more flour until a cohesive dough forms.

Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes (or 3-5 minutes with a stand mixer) until firm and smooth.

Grease a medium bowl with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil, place the dough inside, turn to coat, cover, and let rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

Punch down the dough, then knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes (or 2 minutes with a stand mixer).

Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each into a loaf.

Grease two 9x5-inch bread pans with the remaining vegetable oil.

Place loaves in pans, cover, and let rise for 45 minutes until doubled in size.

Bake loaves for 40 minutes, or until golden brown and hollow when tapped; remove from pans and cool on a rack.
