Easy Garlic Green Beans

Instructions

  1. Start boiling water in a pot for the green beans.

  2. Trim and wash the green beans, cutting longer ones in half if desired.

  3. Boil or steam the beans for 5 to 7 minutes until crisp-tender.

  4. Immediately drain the beans and transfer them to an ice bath for a minute, then drain thoroughly again.

  5. In a sauté pan, melt butter or heat olive oil over medium-low heat, then cook garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.

  6. Add the prepared green beans to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and toss until heated through.

  7. Garnish with parsley if using, and serve immediately.
