Easy Ful Medammes Recipe

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, start boiling fava beans (including their liquid), minced garlic, and fresh lemon juice, then remove from heat.

  2. Drain excess liquid and coarsely mash the fava beans in the pot.

  3. Return the pot to low heat; stir in tahini, salt, hot water, and olive oil one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached. Adjust with more water or olive oil if necessary.

  4. Garnish with parsley, if desired, and serve with hot pita bread.
