Easy Creamy Pecan Pralines

Instructions

  1. Cut butter into small pieces and freeze.

  2. In a heavy saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and evaporated milk.

  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking until it reaches 235 F (soft-ball stage).

  4. Remove from heat, then stir in the frozen butter, pecans, and vanilla until the mixture thickens, loses its shine, and is still spreadable.

  5. Spoon tablespoon-sized mounds onto waxed or parchment paper, ensuring pecans are in each.

  6. Let stand at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes until firm.
