Easy Creamy Pecan Pralines
A simple, make-ahead candy, creamy pralines feature a blend of brown sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and pecans, and can be frozen for later.

Instructions

Cut butter into small pieces and freeze.

In a heavy saucepan, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and evaporated milk.

Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking until it reaches 235 F (soft-ball stage).

Remove from heat, then stir in the frozen butter, pecans, and vanilla until the mixture thickens, loses its shine, and is still spreadable.

Spoon tablespoon-sized mounds onto waxed or parchment paper, ensuring pecans are in each.

Let stand at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes until firm.
