Easy Chicken and Macaroni Casserole

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 2 1/2-quart casserole dish.

  2. Cook macaroni in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes less than package directions, then drain.

  3. Combine cooked macaroni, chicken, peas, cream of chicken soup, milk, pimientos, salt, and pepper in the prepared dish; mix well.

  4. Optionally, sprinkle with shredded cheese.

  5. Toss breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.

  6. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, or until the topping is browned and the filling is bubbling.
