Easy Cherry Cobbler Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F and generously butter a medium cast-iron skillet or baking pan.

  2. Melt butter, then combine it with milk, egg, and vanilla extract.

  3. Whisk in 3/4 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt until a smooth batter forms.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, then spread cherry pie filling evenly over the batter.

  5. Bake for 30 minutes until golden; then sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup sugar over the cobbler.

  6. Continue baking for another 10 to 15 minutes until the sugar crisps and the filling bubbles, then cool slightly before serving warm.
