Easy Butternut Squash Casserole With Maple and Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Peel, deseed, and cut butternut squash into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Steam until tender (15-20 minutes), then cool slightly.

  3. Butter a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.

  4. Beat the cooled squash with maple syrup, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, egg, milk, 2 tablespoons melted butter, cinnamon, and a dash of salt until well blended.

  5. Transfer the squash mixture to the prepared casserole dish.

  6. Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the squash mixture.

  7. Bake for 30 minutes, or until hot with a golden brown topping.
