Easy Beef Lo Mein

Instructions

  1. Start boiling salted water for noodles.

  2. Slice steak into thin strips. In a bowl, whisk oyster sauce with cornstarch, then add beef strips and marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

  3. Cook noodles in boiling water until al dente, drain, and toss with half the sesame oil. Set aside.

  4. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the beef until cooked, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  5. Add more oil to the wok if needed. Stir-fry carrots and garlic, then add cabbage and scallions and continue to stir-fry for 2 minutes until vegetables are slightly crunchy.

  6. Return the noodles and beef to the wok. Add sugar and soy sauce, then toss to mix well and heat through.

  7. Serve garnished with chopped scallions.
