Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. Place four 6-ounce custard cups in a large baking pan.

  2. Whisk together 2 cups milk, 2 large eggs, 1/8 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar in a medium bowl.

  3. Distribute the custard mixture evenly into the prepared cups.

  4. Fill the baking pan with hot water to nearly the top of the custard cups. Sprinkle each with a pinch of nutmeg.

  5. Bake for 40 to 55 minutes until the custard is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Serve warm or chilled, optionally garnished with raspberries and mint.
