Easy Apple Pie for Kids

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.

  2. Place one pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate, brush with egg white, and let it dry as you prepare the filling.

  3. Toss apples with the remaining ingredients and fill the prepared crust.

  4. Cover with the second crust, tucking and crimping the edges, then cut 3-4 slits in the top; optionally brush with egg white.

  5. Loosely cover the pie with aluminum foil.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove the foil, reduce oven temperature to 375 F, and bake for 30-40 more minutes.

  7. Cool the pie completely before slicing and serving.
