Easy and Fantastic Thai Fried Fish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1/4 to 1/2 inch of oil in a wok or frying pan until hot.

  2. Rinse fish under cold water and pat dry.

  3. Combine all spice mix ingredients in a bowl.

  4. Slice fish into chunky 4-inch segments.

  5. Coat fish segments with the spice mixture, then dredge in cornstarch from a plate.

  6. Fry coated fish in hot oil for at least 1 minute per side, turning until light golden brown.

  7. Remove fried fish from oil and drain.

  8. Serve with lime wedges, Thai jasmine rice, and optional sweet chili sauce or nam prik pao.
