Disco Fries Recipe

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and bake frozen French fries following package directions.

  2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan, add flour, and stir constantly until golden, about 2 minutes.

  3. Slowly whisk beef broth into the roux. Add minced shallots and garlic.

  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer the gravy, stirring frequently, for 15 to 20 minutes until thickened.

  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, optional sherry, pepper, and salt near the end of cooking.

  6. Transfer cooked fries to an oven-safe platter. Reduce oven temperature to 350 F.

  7. Top fries with mozzarella cheese and bake for about 5 minutes until melted.

  8. Drizzle gravy generously over the cheesy fries and serve.
