Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F and lightly grease a 9-inch pie plate.

  2. Fit the dairy-free pie crust into the pan. Brush the crust with egg white, sprinkle with sugar, and chill.

  3. For the filling, combine flour, dairy-free milk substitute, and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth.

  4. In a medium bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Whisk in sugars and melted soy margarine until well combined.

  5. Add the flour mixture and pecans to the egg mixture, blending until evenly incorporated.

  6. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

  7. Bake at 400 F for 5 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 F and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is just slightly set.

  8. Cool the pie completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
