Dehydrated Apples
Dehydrated apple slices can be prepared as a versatile snack or ingredient, utilizing a dehydrator for optimal drying.

Instructions

Set the dehydrator to 130 F.

Combine water and vinegar or lemon juice in a large bowl.

Peel apples if desired.

Slice apples to approximately 1/3-inch thickness.

Submerge apple slices in the vinegar solution immediately to prevent browning.

Drain apples thoroughly using a colander or by pressing between dishtowels.

Arrange drained apple slices on dehydrator trays, ensuring no pieces touch.

Dry apples for 10-12 hours until they reach a pliable or crispy texture, adjusting time as needed.

Turn off the dehydrator, remove trays, and cool slices completely at room temperature.

Store cooled, conditioned apple slices in tightly sealed jars.
