Deep-Fried Turkey Breast

Instructions

  1. Determine the required oil volume by submerging the turkey breast in the frying pot with water, removing the breast, and measuring the water.

  2. Empty the water, thoroughly dry the pot, and truss the turkey breast if necessary.

  3. Pat the breast dry, inject it with Cajun marinade, coat it with seasoning, then cover and marinate for 15-20 minutes or overnight.

  4. Preheat the measured oil in the pot to 350 F, using a thermometer for accuracy, then slowly lower the turkey breast into the hot oil with a rack or heat-resistant gloves.

  5. Fry the breast for 3-4 minutes per pound plus 5 minutes, maintaining the oil at 350 F, until the internal temperature reaches 165-170 F.

  6. Carefully remove the turkey from the oil and drain it on a paper towel-lined cutting board for 5-7 minutes.

  7. Carve the breast into 1/2-inch slices and serve.
