Deep Fried Corn Dogs
Classic deep-fried corn dogs can be prepared using standard hot dogs or smaller cocktail wieners.

Instructions

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy saucepan to 360 F.

Whisk together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, and chili powder in a mixing bowl.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs with milk and 1/4 cup oil, then stir into the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth.

Insert a wooden skewer into each hot dog.

Dip each hot dog into the batter, ensuring it's thoroughly and evenly coated.

Fry corn dogs in batches for 3 to 5 minutes, until golden brown.
