Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.

In a separate large bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy, then mix in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined, then fold in dates and pecans.

Chill the dough for 1 hour.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, ensuring 2 inches of space between each.
