Dairy-Free White Sandwich Bread
A simple dairy-free white bread can be prepared using almond milk or any milk alternative.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F and oil two 9x5-inch loaf pans.

In a large bowl, combine 2 cups warm almond milk, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast; stir and let rest 5-10 minutes until foamy.

In a separate bowl, combine 6 cups flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.

Add 1/4 cup oil to the yeast mixture, then gradually mix in the flour until dough forms.

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until elastic and firm.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled.

Punch down the dough, knead for 3-4 minutes, then divide and shape into two loaves.

Place loaves in the prepared pans and let rise for 30-40 minutes.

Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown, then cool slightly in pans before serving.
