Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Lightly oil 2 (2-cup) heatproof dishes or 6 (6-ounce) ramekins.

  3. Combine bread, apples, walnuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl. Stir in almond milk and 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon agave nectar, then let stand for 10 minutes.

  4. Portion the mixture into the prepared dishes and bake for 30 to 35 minutes (15 to 20 minutes for ramekins) until golden brown.

  5. Remove from oven and drizzle with remaining agave nectar or maple syrup.
