Crockpot-to-Grill Ribs

Tender country-style pork ribs are effortlessly prepared in a slow cooker and then finished with a smoky char on the grill.

Instructions

  1. Start boiling apple juice and water.

  2. Place ribs, onion, and garlic in a 4-quart slow cooker, pour the hot liquid over them, and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours until tender.

  3. Preheat a grill to medium heat.

  4. Combine barbecue sauce, apple jelly, honey, salt, pepper, and oregano in a saucepan; heat and stir until the jelly melts.

  5. Place ribs on the heated grill, 6 inches from heat. Grill for 20 minutes, turning and brushing frequently with sauce until browned.
