Crock Pot Wild Rice Pilaf
A simple crock pot wild rice pilaf serves as an excellent complement to various main courses like steak, chicken, pork, or fish.

Instructions

Spray a 3-quart slow cooker with nonstick spray.

Rinse and drain the wild rice.

Combine rinsed wild rice, onion, salt, pepper, chicken broth, water, mushrooms, and thyme in the slow cooker; mix thoroughly.

Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 7-8 hours, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Adjust cooking time for hotter slow cookers.

Stir in butter, cover, and let stand for 10 minutes. Stir and serve.
