Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Drain pineapple liquid into a bowl, reserving the chunks, then whisk cornstarch into the liquid until smooth.

  3. Stir ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, and pickles with juice into the pineapple liquid; add pineapple chunks, then cover and refrigerate the sauce.

  4. Combine ground beef with bread crumbs, minced garlic, salt, pepper, egg, and milk, mixing thoroughly.

  5. Shape the mixture into 3 to 4 dozen meatballs and arrange them on a foil-lined baking sheet.

  6. Bake meatballs for 25 to 30 minutes.

  7. Transfer the baked meatballs to a slow cooker.

  8. Pour the chilled sauce mixture over the meatballs.

  9. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours, or until hot and bubbly.
