Crock Pot Portuguese Chicken

Brown chorizo in a medium saucepan, then remove and set aside.

Cook onions and garlic in the pan drippings until tender.

Combine chorizo, onions, garlic, drippings, chicken, tomatoes, oregano, pepper, and tomato paste in a 4-quart slow cooker; mix thoroughly.

Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, until chicken reaches 165 F.
