Crock Pot Party Meatballs With Tangy Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack on it.

  3. In a large bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, milk, a beaten egg, 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt, 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder, allspice, and 0.25 teaspoon black pepper.

  4. Form the mixture into 1.5-inch diameter meatballs and arrange them on the prepared rack.

  5. Bake the meatballs for 25 to 30 minutes.

  6. While the meatballs bake, combine ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, minced onion, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 0.25 teaspoon black pepper, and optional ground cayenne pepper in a medium bowl; stir until blended.

  7. Transfer the cooked meatballs to a slow cooker, then add the prepared sauce.

  8. Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours.

  9. Serve directly from the slow cooker with toothpicks.
