Crock Pot Orange Curried Chicken

Instructions

  1. Spray a 3-4 quart slow cooker with nonstick spray.

  2. Combine onion, peppers, garlic, orange juice, water, salt, and curry powder in the slow cooker; mix thoroughly.

  3. Place whole chicken breasts on top of the mixture.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.

  5. Remove chicken, cut into strips, then return to the slow cooker.

  6. Continue cooking on low for an additional 2-3 hours until chicken is fully cooked.

  7. Whisk together whipping cream and cornstarch until smooth, then stir into the slow cooker.

  8. Increase heat to high and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring once, until the sauce thickens.

  9. Serve immediately over rice, garnished with chutney and curry powder.
