Crock Pot Chicken Supreme

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp, remove to crumble and set aside, reserving drippings in the skillet.

  2. Brown chicken breasts in the bacon drippings for 3 to 4 minutes per side.

  3. Transfer browned chicken to a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker and top with drained mushrooms.

  4. Heat condensed soup in the same skillet, mixing well and incorporating pan drippings, then pour over the chicken.

  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, or until chicken registers 165 F.

  6. Top the chicken with diced cheese and the reserved crumbled bacon, then cover and cook on high for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese melts.
