Crock Pot Chicken Breasts in Creamy Creole Sauce
Slow-cooked Creole chicken breasts are served in a rich, creamy sauce flavored with traditional seasoning, bell pepper, onion, and celery.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add onions, bell pepper, celery, and bacon; cook, stirring, for 4 minutes.

Stir in flour and cook for 3 minutes. Gradually add chicken broth and cook until thickened.

Mix in tomato paste and Creole seasoning.

Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker. Pour the prepared sauce over them.

Cover and cook on low for 5 hours, stirring halfway through.

Stir in cream or milk 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
