Crock Pot Caramel Apples
Delicious caramel apples are effortlessly prepared in a slow cooker.

Instructions

Start a slow cooker by combining unwrapped caramels and water, then cook on high for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring frequently until melted; strain if scorched.

Keep the caramel warm on low heat in the slow cooker or a saucepan while preparing apples.

Line a large baking pan with buttered wax paper.

Wash and thoroughly dry apples, then insert a popsicle stick into the stem end of each.

Dip each apple into the hot caramel, turning to coat fully, and scrape off excess. Use a spoon for coating as caramel level drops.

Place coated apples on the prepared pan, stick-side up.

Apply optional toppings to the lower half of each apple.

Refrigerate the coated apples until firm.
