Instructions

  1. Peel and cube sweet potatoes into 1-inch pieces.

  2. Lightly grease the slow cooker and arrange the sweet potato cubes inside.

  3. Zest one orange, then extract its juice.

  4. In a small bowl, combine the orange zest, juice, brown sugar, honey, butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg; heat slightly to blend.

  5. Pour the mixture over the sweet potatoes in the slow cooker.

  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, until the sweet potatoes are tender.
