Crock Pot BBQ Beef Brisket

Instructions

  1. Season the beef brisket with liquid smoke and pantry seasonings, retaining the fat for moisture.

  2. Wrap the seasoned brisket in heavy-duty aluminum foil; refrigerate overnight if desired.

  3. Place the foil-wrapped brisket in a slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 9 to 12 hours.

  4. Optionally, shred the cooked beef, return it to the slow cooker, add about 1 cup of barbecue sauce, and cook for 30 minutes more.

  5. Serve the beef in toasted buns for sandwiches, or as a main course with baked potatoes or coleslaw.
