Preheat the oven to 275 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cream butter and sugar, then mix in the egg.

Sift flour and baking powder into a separate bowl, then blend this mixture into the creamed ingredients to form a soft dough. Chill for 3 hours.

Roll the cold dough between floured sheets to 1/8-inch thickness.
