Crispy Fried Beet Chips
Homemade beet chips are a colorful, crispy, and delicious snack created by frying thinly sliced beets.

Instructions

In a large pot, heat 1-inch of oil to 375 F.

While oil heats, scrub, peel, and thinly slice the beets.

Place a cooling rack on a baking sheet near the stove for draining.

Carefully fry about a third of the beet slices at a time, not crowding the pot, for 3 to 5 minutes until sizzling slows.

Remove fried beets with a slotted spoon and drain on the cooling rack; repeat with remaining slices.

Sprinkle with salt if desired, then serve the crisp chips at room temperature.
