Instructions

  1. Brown sliced sausage in a skillet, then drain the fat and transfer the sausage to a slow cooker.

  2. Add all remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and mix well.

  3. Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, or on high for 3.5 to 4.5 hours.

  4. Remove the bay leaves.

  5. Serve, optionally with hot cooked rice.
