Instructions

  1. Start boiling salted water in a pot, adding extra water for the asparagus.

  2. Cook farfalle according to package directions; add asparagus stalks 5 minutes before pasta is done, and asparagus tips 2.5-3 minutes before. Drain well.

  3. Separately, sauté ham in butter over medium heat, then add cream and heat through.

  4. Toss the hot, drained pasta and asparagus with the ham and cream mixture. Stir in 3 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
