Creamy Brownies
A rich, melt-in-your-mouth brownie recipe that starts with boiling sugar and butter in a saucepan.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F and spray a 9 x 13-inch pan with nonstick spray.

In a large saucepan, boil sugar, brown sugar, 2/3 cup butter, and water for 1 to 2 minutes until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently.

Remove from heat, add chocolate chips, and stir until melted; then stir in cocoa powder and vanilla.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.

Spoon batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 to 40 minutes until just set with a dry, shiny crust; do not overbake.

Cool brownies completely on a wire rack.

For the frosting, microwave 2 cups chocolate chips and peanut butter in a bowl, stirring until melted.

Pour and spread frosting over cooled brownies, then let stand until set.
