Creamed Ham With Peas

Instructions

  1. Slice green onions, separating white/light green parts from dark green.

  2. Heat butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; add white/light green onions and parsley, cooking for 1 minute.

  3. Stir in flour until smooth and bubbly, then cook for 2 minutes while stirring.

  4. Gradually add milk and heavy cream, cooking and stirring until the mixture thickens.

  5. Mix in diced ham, cooked peas, and season with salt and pepper.

  6. Garnish with dark green onions and Parmesan cheese if desired, then serve.
