Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Whisk salt into flour and set aside.

Cream butter and cream cheese until fluffy, then beat in sugar, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and lemon or almond extract until combined.

Stir in the flour and salt mixture.

Divide the dough for multiple colors if desired, then mix in optional food coloring.

Apply the desired cutting plate shape and fill a cookie press with dough.

Press cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet.
