Preheat oven to 400 F and prepare a 12-cup muffin pan by spraying or lining cups.

Combine oats and milk in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.

Remove from heat, stir in butter until melted, and set aside to cool.

Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.

Stir eggs into the cooled oat mixture until blended.

Add the oat mixture to the flour mixture; stir until just blended.

Fold in cranberries and nuts, being careful not to overmix.

Spoon batter into the prepared muffin cups.
