Cottage Cheese Noodle Kugel

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Boil salted water, cook egg noodles until al dente, then drain.

Crush cornflakes and melt butter.

In a large bowl, combine melted butter, cottage cheese, sour cream, eggs, vanilla, 1/2 cup sugar, and optional raisins; mix well.

Fold in the cooked noodles until evenly combined.

Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared dish and smooth the top.

Mix crushed cornflakes, cinnamon, and remaining 1/4 cup sugar in a separate bowl.

Sprinkle the cornflake topping evenly over the noodle mixture.

Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
