Cottage Cheese Noodle Kugel

A sweet and savory cottage cheese noodle kugel features egg noodles, a creamy cheese blend, and a crisp cinnamon-sugar cornflake topping.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. Boil salted water, cook egg noodles until al dente, then drain.

  3. Crush cornflakes and melt butter.

  4. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, cottage cheese, sour cream, eggs, vanilla, 1/2 cup sugar, and optional raisins; mix well.

  5. Fold in the cooked noodles until evenly combined.

  6. Pour the noodle mixture into the prepared dish and smooth the top.

  7. Mix crushed cornflakes, cinnamon, and remaining 1/4 cup sugar in a separate bowl.

  8. Sprinkle the cornflake topping evenly over the noodle mixture.

  9. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  10. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
