Instructions
-
Line a 9x9-inch pan with foil, spray it, then scatter 1 1/2 cups of peanuts evenly on the bottom.
-
Melt unwrapped caramels and cream or milk in a microwave, stirring every 30-40 seconds until smooth.
-
Pour melted caramel over the peanuts, spread evenly, then top with the remaining 1 1/2 cups of peanuts, pressing gently to embed.
-
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set the caramel.
-
Remove the set candy from the pan; cut into bars if not dipping in chocolate.
-
For chocolate dipping, melt chocolate candy coating in the microwave, stirring frequently.
-
Spread a very thin layer of melted chocolate over the top of the uncut candy to secure peanuts.
-
Refrigerate for 10 minutes, then flip and spread a thin layer of chocolate on the other side.
-
Once both chocolate layers are set, cut the candy into individual bars.
-
Re-warm dipping chocolate if needed. Dip each bar into chocolate, place on parchment paper, and optionally sprinkle with chopped peanuts while wet.
-
Refrigerate until chocolate is fully set, then serve at room temperature.
