Cooked Vanilla Frosting

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk milk, flour, and salt over medium-low heat.

  2. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and bubbly; cool completely to room temperature.

  3. In a mixing bowl, beat sugar and butter until smooth.

  4. Beat in the cooled flour mixture until light and fluffy.

  5. Beat in vanilla extract or bean paste.
