Instructions

  1. Toast rice in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes until lightly golden, then cool.

  2. Separately toast the remaining spices, excluding turmeric, in the same skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes until fragrant, then cool.

  3. Grind the cooled rice and toasted spices into a fine powder using a spice mill or food processor.

  4. Stir the turmeric thoroughly into the powder.

  5. Store the seasoning in an airtight container; it will keep for several months.
