Classic Strawberry Eton Mess

Instructions

Whip cream and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

Gently fold large, bite-sized meringue pieces into the whipped cream.

Lightly mash half of the strawberries in a separate bowl to release some juice.

Stir the mashed strawberries into the cream mixture.

Halve and then quarter the remaining strawberries.

Transfer the cream mixture to a 7-inch serving dish.

Top the dish with the quartered strawberry pieces.

Chill for 30 minutes in the refrigerator, then sprinkle with confectioners' sugar before serving.
