Instructions

  1. In a julep or similar glass, muddle 4-5 mint leaves with 2 sugar cubes (or 1/2 ounce simple syrup) to dissolve sugar and release mint aroma.

  2. Add 2 1/2 ounces of bourbon, then fill the glass with crushed ice.

  3. Stir thoroughly until the glass frosts, then garnish with a fresh mint sprig and serve.
