Classic Hot Chicken Salad
A warm and crunchy chicken salad casserole is prepared with toasted almonds and breadcrumbs.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425 F and butter a 2-quart baking dish.

In a bowl, combine cubed chicken, celery, mayonnaise, toasted almonds, lemon juice, and chopped onion; add salt if needed.

Stir 1/2 cup toasted breadcrumbs into the chicken mixture.

Spoon the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Sprinkle with shredded cheese.

Toss the remaining 1 cup toasted breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the cheese layer.

Bake the casserole for 15 to 20 minutes until browned and bubbly.
