Classic Heinz 57 Meatloaf

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C/Gas 4) and line a rimmed baking sheet or pan with foil.

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, milk, 1/4 cup Heinz 57 sauce, salt, and pepper.

  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the prepared pan.

  4. Bake for 1 hour, then carefully drain excess grease, top with more Heinz 57 sauce, and continue baking for 10 to 15 minutes.

  5. Allow the meatloaf to stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
