Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.

  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in chilled butter until coarse and sandy with some pea-sized pieces. Sprinkle cold water and toss until the dough forms a ball.

  3. Divide dough into two disks, wrap, and chill for several hours.

  4. Roll dough to fit a 10-inch fluted tart pan. Line with pie weights and bake for 15 minutes; remove weights and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Cool the shell.

  5. Stir cream and sugar in a saucepan over low-medium heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.

  6. Add salt, vanilla extract, almond extract, almond liquor, and sliced almonds; stir to combine.

  7. Pour the warm almond filling into the cooled pastry shell.

  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown and the filling is set.

  9. Cool the tart in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
