Classic Berry Trifle Recipe

Instructions

  1. Boil 1 cup of water. Dissolve gelatin in the hot water, then cool for 30 minutes.

  2. Line a trifle dish with cake slices, then pour in the cooled gelatin. Refrigerate for 2 hours until set.

  3. Slice 2 cups of strawberries into 1/4-inch pieces. Arrange strawberry slices upright in two layers around the inner edge of the dish.

  4. Spoon custard into the center of the trifle dish, keeping it below the strawberry line.

  5. Cover the custard with a thick layer of whipped cream.

  6. Add blueberries as a top layer. Garnish with whole strawberries if desired.
